I like how certain trends can be brought forward to the next, like this leather one. Its's great on the pocket and you can invest on leather goods that will last through season after season. There so many kinds, but I like the idea of leather dresses and t-shirts. The durability of leather is why people keep coming back for it.
I think suits are pretty cool things I'm just unsure if I would want to spend my weekends in them. I'd consider for the weekdays. Again, with the temperamental and humid Singapore weather. You could go all the way with a 3-piece suit or in my case, cool blazers and my personal favorite, tailored pants. I'd still wear all my costume jewwwry with the suits just to tone the serious look a bit.
The contrast trend is quite apparent for S/S. After we have had heavy embellishments, heavy everything for last F/W, things are going neutral now. Neutral with a twist. Graphic prints and stripes in black & white are top picks. To tie in with this trend, stripes of all colors were seen on the runways too. Not complaining, I love stripes and I don't mind adding on!
With the neons and fluorescents, I think this is like one of the most prevailing trends. I love bright colored clothes as much as I love the darker hues, kinda gives you character. There are also some bead work involved in some collections, like Marchesa. Beading and embellishments are really a few of my favorite things, no problem here. DVF nailed the bright colors. I mean really if I had several pots of gold, I'd buy the entire runway. The bottom left is one of her designs and its very very wearable. I foresee those things in my drawers. Soon-ish. I'll be sure to get a bit of those colored extensions!
Easily the longest post I've churned out, phew!
