I anticipated the rain hence picking up this dress to wear on Saturday. Apparently it did not and I was left with perspiring madly the entire day. This dress is from Topshop and it felt a little 80's/90's with the sweater feel and the mix of fabrics. I waited weeks for this ASOS belt to arrive to pair it together. I really love the soft lighting in the pictures, and I've always thought that between 4pm - 6pm is the best time for pictures because of the sun's positioning. It kinda does make things glow.
Further aggravating the situation was going to Gardens by the Bay for some good ol' satay. Not a big fan of satay, but once in a while is fine. It's an open area dining, so imagine how hot and humid it was. The pasta stall made for a bad experience though. It's not so much of food, but rather the communication. I ended up with Turkish pizza with (broken) egg. It's a disappointment to go on Saturdays really, because the staff are trying to rush orders.
I digress.
I have been really busy with work, and I was left with hardly much time to even pick up a magazine to read. I do most of my reading on trains on the way back or to work. It's been really tiring, but I guess it does feel a little fulfilling/satisfying when you have a few motivations in mind. But, this weekend I finally got to rest and not report to work, (I drop by the office on Sundays sometimes) and just spend time doing things I want. Feels good. I'm not complaining about work because I am really grateful, after going through and knowing how tough it is to land a good job.
