The Carpenter & Cook via iPhone 5

I love cafe hopping, hidden-gems-uncovered Saturdays. I found one last Saturday. Carpenter & Cook along the secluded roads of Bukit Timah. It is really a lovely vintage-themed cafe, and also one which Radzi and I decided would be the best place to be in case of a zombie apocalypse (no thanks to Warm Bodies). The place literally has walls with sickles hanging on them! Also everything was on sale. And I do mean you can buy it and bring it home. Yeah, even the bathroom mirror.

We had Apple Cobbler cake and Banoffee. You would have noticed by now that I didn't take a picture of the banoffee. THAT'S BECAUSE WE ATE IT IN A FLASH. God, that thing was so good. I didn't believe it when people kept saying that Banoffee was good, I always get turned off by the thought of overpoweringly, sickeningly sweet (all thanks to a certain Flaming something once upon a time) coffee with banana and cream. Not until it landed on my table. In fact, the coffee taste was... subtle. There was a slight bitter after taste from the coffee, but the banana, toffee crust and cream combination was divine. In case you were wondering though, the Banoffee here isn't a wedge of pie, it's a small round pie by itself.

Midsummer's Peach tea. Yes.

Now I feel like having another one. Darn.
